About

As a qualified fitness instructor, writer, editor, and creative, I believe that fitness is transformative.

True fitness empowers us to be physically and mentally strong enough to do whatever we want to do for as long as we want to do it. When we connect the dots, the world is a better place for us and everyone around us. I aim to collaborate with forward-thinking brands to make that place possible.

Currently, I serve as Fitness and Nutrition Editor at Hone Health where I curate science-backed fitness and nutrition content such as articles, social posts, and a weekly newsletter. Before that, I was Lead In-House Fitness Instructor for Sunny Health & Fitness where I managed our trainer team of 20. There I had the pleasure of creating expert-driven, serviceable content such as workout videos, articles, recipes, podcast episodes, and more.

I was an NCAA DII Track & Field student-athlete and graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BS in Kinesiology and a minor in Business Management. Since graduating, I’ve immersed myself in the fitness community and have chased after a variety of certifications (CSCS, NASM-CPT, CES, FNS, and GPTS to name a few) encompassing athletic performance, corrective exercise, fitness nutrition, and group-based training. I’m currently studying for PCES (which stands for Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist).

I find the more I learn, the more I have to learn. I’m constantly on the trail of new research and trends. As a trained content creator and health expert, I have a keen eye for what makes content both relevant and research-backed. Still, I’ll never claim to know it all, and pride myself on collaborating with experts like doctors, exercise physiologists, kinesiologists, CSCS-certified trainers, and registered dietitians to deliver the authority each piece of content deserves.

I live for iced americanos, hiking, and most recently kicking my husband's butt at Mario Tennis.
